I have a 2006 Wrangler X without fog lamps and no added electrical items (bone stock).

Since day one I have had an on and off issue with flickering or excessive blown tail lamps (mostly on the driver’s side and in the winter).

I recently had to replace my head lamp and wiper switch assembly's (wipers now work fine) but I still have a short that blow's in-cab 20a fuse # 1 (parking lights, skim, sentry key, dash lights).

I checked all exterior running lights for moisture and corrosion but found none.

Is there a common location that this circuit shorts out at or is this a wild goose chase?

I am a commercial electrician by trade but auto electrical is not the same.
