My 07 JKU is running in the 230• temp even while running on the road. My mechanic recommended us pulling out the engine and boring it to .20 and adding flat top pistons. Also he recommended doing a 3 angle cut on the heads since the motor has to be overhauled anyway. I have a pair of gibson headers, bullydog programmer, K&N cold air induction, and a throttle body spacer.
Has anyone bored out their cylinders and done any 3 angle cut with port and polish on their 3.8L and what results did you get? Thanks

It's got 90k miles and its wasting about a quart of oil about every 500 miles. Radiator has no leak and was pressure tested. I also added a bottle of a product that is supposed to decrease engine temp by 10• and i'm running a 190• thermostat

I saw this as an opportunity to stroke it out while engine was out. I wanted a little more power/ torque cause the 3.8 is a little weakling
