I just replaced the stock 17 inch wheels that came on my 2012 with new 18 inch take-offs from a 2014 Sahara.

Are there any issues I should expect?

Is the small difference in diameter enough to make significant difference on speedometer?

It's not the size of the rim but the size of the complete wheel that affects the speedometer. I put my 2014 wheels on my wife's 2012 and while mine were almost an inch taller, it didn't seem to affect her speedo enough to reprogram. Also, the tpms in 2012 are 315 MHz and the ones from the 14 are 233MHz. So you will need to swap those for your TPMS system to work or reprogram the computer to keep the indicator from coming on, which I don't recommend.
