I went to start my jeep one evening and it would not turn over. A few times in the past I had to jiggle the battery cable. I did this, the jeep still would not turn over. So I left the key turned on and got out and jiggled the wire again, this time the jeep attempted to start, rolled forward at me, hit a building and the battery wire melted in half at the terminal. The clutch safety has obviously been removed. The what do you guys think could have caused this?

If key was in start position like you say" you didnt have a solid connection on your battery. Then while playing with the terminals you got a solid connection and tried to start. Being in gear, it rolled on you. Had a similar experience happen
