Need some help here. After a brief little off road ride at Ka'ena point, my jeep started hiccuping in power as we were driving home. Quick fix was to pull over turn off the jeep and re start it. seems to have done the trick for the time being.

This has happened before; however, the problem went away after I took it in to have the back axle worked on. Need some thoughts on what the issue is. Like I said, the temporary fix is to pull over and restart the engine. Thoughts?

I have a 94 4.0L and I can tell you the fuel runs lean right from the factory ... Check your fuel pressure regulator ... sometimes these foul and you just have to replace it.
You could take it to autozone and run a free diagnostic.
Another idea is to disconnect your battery for 30 minutes then reconnect. This lets your ECM reboot itself and sometimes they adjust themselves to the problems.
Also check if any of your spark plugs are fouling.
I added an MSD ignition Module to my jeep to improve spark ...
In my mind it keeps pointing to a fuel line problem ...
Hope these tips help you trouble shoot the problem!
