recently purchased a 95 sahara. New clutch, hub bearings, rear axle bearings and I still get a humming noise when pushing on the gas pedal at 35-45 mph. Noise goes away when I let off the gas pedal. any ideas??
I've actually noticed a similar noise in mine through that speed band. As soon as I get above that speed, it goes away. Almost like it's hitting the harmonic resonance freq of some part of the jeep. does it do it in all gears at that speed?
You got a lift at all (springs) because that is the speed at which I get mine and after my lift it was bad even with an SYE/Shaft so I did a 1" Motor Mount Lift and away it went. Take a look at your pinion angle if you have a lift aand any questions on that can be answered at Tom Wood's Custom Drive Shafts - Tom Woods Custom Drive Shafts Custom Driveshafts Specialist on the home page dwon right side technical questions everything you ever wanted to know about pinion angles.
