The AX-5 is not tough enough, so I went with an AX-15 (from a junk yard, $75). Then the t-case input is wrong for an AX-15, so you have to swap the t-case input shafts, or just get the junk yard t-case too. That makes the swap look like you have a 6-cyl, so Advance Adapters has everything you need from there. The nice thing about a 4.3 swap rather than a 350 is it is shorter and lighter, yet has the exact same back end as a 350, so adapters are easy.JeeperDon, I have always thought that would be a good swap. Of course I'm a chevy guy from way back. Did it bolt up to your tranny or did you need an adapter?
