Hi,
I've been reading as much as I can to fully understand what will be involved if I lift my 99 TJ. I've come to the conclusion that I will likely never rock crawl but I do plan to use it on forest service roads and other out of the ordinary places in the great Pacific Northwest. My wife has also decided she REALLY likes the Jeep so I'll need to keep it safe for on-road use.
I've narrowed my lift choices to one of two options (tire size i'm leaning toward is 32x11.5).
1. OME 2" lift
2. RE 3.5 lift
Question:
Why does OME say that by adding a 2" lift the Jeep will be able to handle 31" tires that a stock Jeep will do just fine?
Is this a way to under-promise and over-deliver?
Thanks in advance,
Bob
