So since all the parts are rolling in figure now is the time to start this up.

Some pics as well.

Bought it with 2.5 RC lift with metal cloak flares and 33 mtrks.

Picked up an 8.8 set up for a TJ with 4.1 and LSD. Bolt in and be done...right? Wrong. Lol. Scored a cheap deal on a noncad hpd30 with 3.55s (super cheap) and had to decide gears. So I said dump everything and go 4.88s. Got a sweet deal from 4low and vendor kolak on everything I need. Gear guy said 2-3 weeks before he can do them so waiting on that.

Tax time came: so I ordered steel lower adjustables and aluminum uppers from MC and while I was at it, some sliders. Those are on the way, should be two-three weeks for everything to arrive.

Am waiting to hear on a deal for some nice 35s and then I'll sell my mtrs.

Now just waiting for more money (ha) and I'll swap out the rc lift for OME and then body and motor mount lifts to get ready for a tummy tuck.

Idea is to go 2" of lift and 35s with the high clearance fenders, depending on how those fit and when I'm no long dd' ing it I'll go to 37s.

So after a fight with the HP it and the 8.8 are off getting regeared. Should have them back by this weekend. Metalcloak lower CA's and sliders showed up this past week, need to paint and install. Uppers should be here this week. After that throw everything in. Still need to order new ball joints and upper ca bushings for the front.

Going to try to reuse my brakes off the d35 on the 8.8 since they're from a zj. We'll have to see.

Update: metal cloak sliders are on...drivers side was a breeze while passenger was a pita. But done none the less. Gotta say I feel confident with these and lost no ground clearance.

HP and 8.8 are done being regeared so picking those up tomorrow. Ordered brake line kit and rotors from ECGS, my calipers should swap over but we'll see. Have new upper ca bushings for the HP on order from my buddy Nick ([email protected]) and am picking up new ball joints and a 1310-1330 conversion u joint from the crown auto local store next week.

Honestly can't wait for the install and to get back on the trail.

Thanks, been slow moving the past couple of weeks. Pulled the steering knuckles, ball joints and upper CA bushings. I dove in and spent the money on a good ball joint press and the jeep adapters. Made removal much easier. The sway bar bolts sucked, so am going to have to drill those out.

Cleaned the axle up and started painting the axle. Brake Line kit showed up from ecgs, got some heavy duty ball joints from crown since they're right around the corner. Hopefully have them under the jeep in the next couple weeks for go topless day

Installed CA bushings and ball joints today. Everything else is being pulled out of my current d30. Just need to run brake lines on the 8.8 (sadly raining, but could carry the d30 inside lol) and then time to start the axle drops.

Pretty sure the u-joint you need is from a 1975 ford f250 front or rear.
I have a Ford adapter for the rear drive shaft, pretty sure it's 1310 but might me 1330. Gonna run down to my local guy and we'll measure it out and I'll pick up a new u joint. Only thing i'm not sure about is the rear calipers. If I can reuse them I will if not I'll have to go get some 8.8 calipers and pads

Picked up a 1310-1330 ujoint today, what fits the Ford adapter I have. Got the front axle our in about 3 hours, not bad for by myself and first time doing anything this large. Forgot to order outer tube seals for the front (doh!) So those are on the way. Hopefully will get the axle under the jeep tmrw evening and finish up install by the weekend. Then onto the rear.

Oh yea helped install a 2.5" ome lift on my friends jku last Saturday. F those front shocks. My new sworn enemy. But finished that in about 5 hours.

Got the hp under the jeep. Waiting on a few parts to come in and don't have a ton of time today. I preset my control arm lengths to factory since that's what I was running before and had no issues. At droop it seems like it sits a bit far towards the center of the jeep to me, but at full bump it's almost dead center. Anyone think i need to adjust the arms slightly longer or does that appear acceptable?

Hp is under and set up minus the fact that I thought that the lp and hp diff covers are the same and they're not. The fill plug is higher in the hp for what I'd assume is to compensate for the Pinon being on top. Didn't notice until it was filled so I'll have to drain that and swap covers (doh!)

Still need to re drill the sway bar holes so i can get the antirock back in as well. Other than that sitting nicely.

Tuesday I'll start the tear down of the rear, hoping I'll even be able to get that bolted up by the end of the day but for sure by Sunday so I can break in the gears before go topless day
