Hey Guys,

First post. Yay!

My wife has a 2006 Wrangler. Has about 60k miles on it now. Today we got home in my car and saw a small pool of water under her car. It appears to be coolant. :(

The leak seems to be coming from behind the alternator, below where the top radiator hose comes connects to the motor. It seems to be coming from beneath. The hoses seem ok, I haven't taken them off yet but no obvious cracks.

Any other thoughts? Where should I start?

Thanks!

My guess water pump. Seal probably bad and it is coming through the weep hole.

This, or possibly the thermostat housing gasket leaking? But if that much suddenly started leaking, it does sound like a waterpump. If you have also been hearing a bearing growling noise recently (some can be loud, some can be faint), then it is almost for sure your water pump.

Weep hole on bottom front of water pump (it will have a pulley attached to it. Just follow the hoses. :)
