I am hoping this is a common issue and easily answered.
2010 JK, 85k miles, 3.8L automatic. Casual on road driving after arox 40 minutes Jeep stalls. No warning, no trouble lights. Will not restart until after waiting several hours. After waiting engine starts no problem.
I have checked fuel pressure,no problem there.

I have heard f cam and crank position sensor issues. Does heat have an effect on these. Any ideas ?

It could be the camshaft position sensor and that's an inexpensive and easy fix, but it also could be the wiring harness to the CPS that's causing the problem. There can also be a problem with the Totally Integrated Power Module. There have been some issues reported regarding a stall situation when hot. It should be further diagnosed so that you're not throwing parts at it. Good luck.
