Hey everyone, decided to make a build thread for my Jeep. my goal is to build it to where I can take it almost anywhere and just go seek out adventure! I love to camp and would like to see the places that not everyone see's from just the normal campsites that everyone knows about, I want to go to the back country and enjoy the ride getting there.

I haven't rock crawled yet as my ride it still pretty much stock. However, I have never rock crawled and maybe that's something I will like too. Just waiting for gears, tires, lift, lockers and the list goes on. I have met alot of Jeep owners and have been invited to a couple places but haven't pulled the trigger but I will soon!

So I always wanted a Jeep but could never afford one ( still can't ) but finally pulled the trigger about 8 months ago went from a manual 2000 Ford Ranger...

To a 2013 Wrangler bought it with 23,000 miles on it... Funny thing is when I bought it and was going through the long process 2 other people were test driving it.

First day I bought it I pulled into a restaurant and tried to figure out how to get the top off after some frustration I finally wen't home and left it to park overnight and the next day just cruised around in it, that's Zeus my Lab by the way he's 5 years old.

First thing I did was Plasti Dip my Rims(this is the only pic I have of it from that day)

Second thing I did was make my Grill inserts....

I also did the Mag-lite Mod, the one where you attach the Mag-lite to your front seat and it actually comes in handy once in awhile. Sorry no pictures.

I then added the Rugged Ridge 11580.10 Rear Trailer Hitch,Harbor Frieght Cargo Basket, and StowAway Hitch Tightener and tried it out at Joshua Tree.

worked great the door opens all the way with it on but not when it's loaded up.

Also got the Stubby Antenna and Rugged Ridge Cargo Mat.

I also got the Spiderwebshade Jkini (black) and my biggest upgrade as of now is the Gobi Stealth Rack.

Installed by myself took and it took a couple hours. Overall I love it! It did flap on the soft top so I Fixed that with a spray painted pool noodle.

One thing about the Rack and a soft top is that it makes a lot of wind noise in my opinion! So my next upgrade was a Hard Top. Got a very good deal from Sqdnguns a member on here and pretty much perfect condition he was asking for $600 so I bought it straight away after work the next day. Real nice guy he helped me install it and gave me some tips.

This was the day I bought it....

I will say that I miss not being able to take off my side and back windows and how much easier it was to take the top off but we'll see what happens I do plan on making the side windows removable but that's for another time.

My plasti-dip was peeling away so I had to redo it and hopefully the right way this time!

Literally right after my neighbor told me his starter broke so at Gorman so we tried to push start it and clutch it but we couldn't go fast enough then we decided to just tow it and try that...

Sure enough it worked!

My upcoming upgrades is either a front bumper and winch haven't decided which bumper yet. Or LoD Sliders, and then around next income tax time I'll probably be getting all the stuff that comes along with getting 35s maybe 33s.

Thanks!

Thanks! Hopefully i'll be going on a trip at the end of this April.

Thanks, I love black but hate how easily dirty it gets but then I remember that it's a Jeep! If I had a color to pick I think I would have gone with Anvil.
I'll hopefully have something new to add to the rack that will be totally custom made and i'm pretty sure it's never been done so stay tuned..

Well never did the awning but.... my recent upgrade we're some Rubicon Enhanced Rock Rails I bought off Ebay for a steal $175 perfect condition but no hardware which is a easy fix!

I'm getting great deals don't forget my Hardtop I got for $600 a couple weeks ago!

Anyways....

The Sequias

I'll probably end up selling the Rack I love the look but just not sure I liked the Wind noise from the equipment on top, just gave me something to worry about on the 5 hour drive.

It's been along time since i last updated this thread. My Jeep has gone through alot of changes since then. I had the Gobi Rack that I ended up selling, the front Barricade Bumper I sold , the AEV front Bumper I sold but here's a timeline of events through pictures. As of today she sits on Cooper SST Pros 315/70/17 , Quadratec Baja Xtreme Wheels, Metalcloak 3.5 ARB Edition Lift( Rocksport Shocks) Metalcloak Front Geometry Correction Brackets, Pioneer Rhino Rack, Front 10th Anniversary Bumper , Wilco Offroad Rear Bumper and Tire Carrier , Bushwacker Aluminum Fender Flares. I installed everything myself.

I want to get a Warn Winch , new gears to be able to tow along a Small Teardrop Trailer for my 15 month old and girlfriend , and Lockers but to be honest I might just go with a 4 door or the the new JL in a 4 door, but might just stay with a JK since i don't like how the gladiators will look the same. My personal opinion not meant to be offensive, I do think the JL is still great. Also, man I want some 37s now but don't want the cost that comes with it!
