I have a 2014 Jeep JK Unlimited with ~45K miles. It cranks but will not start. There are no codes.

I've pulled battery terminals for reset. Pulled the IOD fuse for 30+ seconds.

While checking for spark (which it does have) I put some fuel into a cylinder, turned it over and it wanted to fire up.
So, I'm assuming it's a fuel issue.

I pulled the fuel line to the rails and turned the key to accy, then crank, and no fuel.

Checked the fuel pump fuse.
Checked fuse for power on accy (for 2 seconds) and crank. It has power.
Applied voltage to pump side of fuse 'just to be sure' and nothing.

Removed pump (fun!).
Hooked pump to 12V source and it runs...

WTF?

Tomorrow I'm planning on checking the plug on the pump for power and clogs in the lines.

Any other ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum!

Could it be an issue with the throttle position sensor (actually, the Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor)? I know if you hold the gas pedal to the floor and turn the key to start, the starter will run through a 10-second cranking cycle without fueling the engine, meaning the engine won't start. Is it possible that somehow your Jeep thinks the gas pedal is to the floor?

Jac04 - thanks for the reply.

Ready for this one... it was a [email protected](king kill switch!

When I checked the plug I found it strange that one of the grounds was open. I followed the wires up into the cab and found the switch that I accidentally hit while moving things around. It was done really well, looked almost factory.

Well, that was fun!
