I bought Kicker CTS20 tweeters to replace on my 2014 wrangler.

My question is: I took the old left tweeter out and got confused.

One is Brown with yellow stripe and the other is brown with purple stripe. What’s positive?

On my kicker I got gray and black wires.

Once I cut my current Jeep wires can I just tie them together and use electrical tape and be good? The kicker wires have metal with clear plastic over at the end. I assume I cut those and tie in with the wrangler wires?

Thanks

If you follow the side of the wiring that goes to the inline capacitor, that will be the positive side.

Thanks for the info.

Do I need to install the crossover that came with the new tweeter? Or is that built in somewhere?

Yes, install the crossover that came with it. That will give you the specific frequencies for that tweeter.
