It's all a matter of perspective. I prefer no top.

Welcome to WF....

I don't understand the thread title vs the question in the post.

The hard top will be less noisy than a soft top. But it also depends on if you have a Premium soft top or not. Adding Hotheads/Boom mat to a hard top will reduce the noise even more. But as daggo said, it is all a matter of perspective.

Wait for the 2015 and see if there's anything new you like/prefer over the 2014s. If there isn't, there will still be plenty of 14's left on lots over the summer.

The only change for the 2015's will be a better high end audio package. Other than that its just going to be new colors. :)

If the sound system is important for you and you are willing to pay for the upgraded audio system then wait for the 2015's other than that I don't see a reason to wait.

Hush strips and hot heads head liner made a noticeable difference with regards to road noise.

My premium soft top is hardly noticeable. My brother has a hard top, and he has even commented about how quiet it is, comparable to his hard top. The ease of taking the top down wins with the soft top. He almost never does anything with his top, mine is always down if it isn't raining.

Have colors been released yet?
There is a potential 2015 color list here somewhere. It's not been verified, but there are some interesting choices listed!

The sub and tombstone speaker is speculation until it's officially released. The color choices are from a reliable source. I'd say if you're considering a 2015, wait for it. It's only a couple months away.

IMO, the premium soft top is as quiet as the hard top on the highway. Perhaps someone has actually tested them in the real world?

Not a true decibel check, but Mike has a hard top and I have the premium soft top. We don't notice a difference between the two, unless the soft top is open, obviously.
