I keep getting a small whiff of burning plastic every now and then from my Rubi-X, not sure what it is yet(or where its coming from), just hoping I don't come out to a roaring Jeep fire one day. Anyone else experiencing this on their new Jeep's? Its not everyday, but when I do catch it, it smells like the coating on an electrical wire is melting. Going in for its first oil change this weekend, will see if they can find anything, but I doubt it.

Most of the time its just the new car breaking in, Im not sure specifically what is but almost every new car I have had, I experienced the same thing.. Give it about a month or two and it shouldn't come back again

I've owned MANY new cars, usually the smells are from assembly lubes on hot engine or exhaust parts, or maybe brakes or clutch smells, never smelled burning plastic before. But I hope that's all it is, but this smell has me worried, it smells a lot like an electrical fire would.
