2015 vs 2016

Assuming the '16 does not have any upgrades/options that the'15 does not have, the only significant difference I know of is the '16 has LESS warranty.. So, all else being equal, you are better off with the '15.

They are offering me for the 2015 3 year 36k miles warranty.

I thought I read somewhere that the head lights are different in the 2016 vs 2015. Brighter head lights, Is this true ?

That's the basic factory warranty that comes with all new Wranglers. He's talking about the reduced powertrain warranty. It went from 100,000 miles in 2015 to 60,000 miles in 2016.

As far as the headlights, I believe they are the same output. Did you look up the invoice price on both of them? You should never pay more than 1% BELOW invoice, regardless of model year. Chrysler Affiliate Rewards via joining Tread Lightly. Some people on the forum have negotiated even better deals. Remember, the 2015 will have a lower resale/trade-in value someday than the 2016.

I bought a leftover 2015. Chief reason was because I wanted Baja Yellow which was no longer offered for 2016. However, the powertrain warranty difference is significant. And you are probably going to score a great deal for reducing 2015 inventory. And if you are saving 4k, why would headlight output be a factor?

Headlight is not a big deal just wanted to make sure nothing other is different. I really like the new tweeters that the 2015 and 2016s have.

I originally was looking at a 2013 or newer but started liking the tweeters in the 2015 and up better. Looks more modern.

If the headlights are different then it means they are slightly less worthless than the 2016. Get some nice after market ones no matter what.
