I’ve got a 2016 JKU that’s Mohave Sand. I’ve been trying to find a touch up paint, and I just can’t get a good match. I even bought one of the Chrysler paint pens, and it’s still dark. Anyone know what’s up with that?:pullinghair:

Do you have a FinishMaster near you? Have them scan your paint and mix it to the exact hue..

I've used paintscratch.com for my Mojave sand, and the match has been great (over their grey primer). But I've only used their rattle-can spray paint (not a touchup brush) to paint parts to match, and I use their clear also (I read that clear can affect the shade as well as the primer color). All the stuff I painted matches very well.

When I had my TJ painted, the restoration shop commented that there were about 8 different tints with the same paint code. They matched it so perfectly, that even though the inside of the jams were not painted, you can't find a paint line. They also used the inside painted surface to match to so it wouldn't be "pre faded".

m998dna's suggestion is a good one.

This is who I ordered from and couldn't be happier with the 2017 Chief color match. Got it for rock dings on the front of the rear fenders and front of hood. Dab the tip in and it leaves a perfect little drop of paint in rock dings. No primer.
