Hey guys and gals,

Here is my 2018 JEEP JL. Rough Country 3 inch I think it was, Rubicon rims, 35 Toyo AT3's, Aux Lights, Rock Sliders, Jack and a few other little things. Other than that all stock. 2400 miles. Manual. My goal is to sell and get a gladiator in a few months. This Jeep has been so fun. Haven't really been wheeling but just having a stick again and having fun doing the few things I did to it. Still under warranty with maintenance. Not a damn thing wrong with it.

Open to reasonable offers. I have it on a few sites for 37ish. Ive been told thats a good price but not a lot of hits. Im asking 35,500. Let me know what you think and if thats realistic. Im in Southern California Cell is 310 809 8629.

Ill be taking it to the dealership either this weekend or the next if its not sold.

Ill be getting 31K from them. But if I sell private party my buyout will be taxed so its the equal of selling for 33k private party. 38K MSRP and I put probably 4K into it. Very motivated at this point so I can recoup a little bit back

Anyone have any tips on selling or what its worth? Ive heard a lot of thats priced to sell, or if only it was an automatic. Didn't think it be this hard to sell a new jeep. I know its probably not the best time since dealerships are discounting pretty good right now. Any advice would be much appreciated.

it is worth what it sells for. If it has not sold you are asking too much. People do not generally buy jeeps off from forums. Use your local craiglist etc. That is where you are going to sell it. Go to a dealer or carmax and see what they will offer you for it and then advertise it locally for $1000 more than they offer and lower it $500 after a couple of weeks and if it does not sell you know the dealers offer was fair.

you might be better off putting it to stock as nobody who really is into jeep wranglers is going to be excited about a rough country lift find a set of stock oem rims and tires for it and just sell the ones you have on it separately.

Thanks for the reply. The buyout is a little different than I'm use to. There is a dealership buy out and then private party that includes Tax. So the dealer offered me 31K which is equal to about 33.5 private party. I have it on all the sites. Paid 100 bucks with auto trader. Starting to second guess all the talk on how they keep their value so well. Doesn't matter what its worth on paper it matters what people will actually pay for it. Going to the dealer this Friday to trade.

If the dealer will give you $31k for it, take it. I can buy a brand new JL with a $38k sticker from my local dealer for under $31k https://www.criswelljeepramofthurmont.com/searchnew.aspx?Type=N&Year=2018&Make=Jeep&Model=Wrangler Unlimited. It's tough to recoup money spent on mods, but even factoring that in, $33k seems a little rich compared to current new prices.

Jeeps do retain their value better than most vehicles, but you have to base the resale value/depreciation off of new selling price and not sticker. 5 years ago, it wasn't unusual for a dealer to say the price is on the sticker, but that's not today's market.

it's not a problem of the car, the lift, the tires, the color, nor your price. It's a problem of the manual. Diehards won't accept it, but the manual is the kiss of death on resale. I love a manual personally, but I would never buy one, I would only lease one. That way you don't have to worry about selling it, you just wipe your hands and hand it back.

Aint that the truth. I turned it in to my friends dealership. They had it for 3 weeks and I get a call. My buddy priced it as an automatic and they won't be able to offer me what they said. A day later I have the damn jeep again. Last month and this months payment coming up. FML

ALSO LEASE TRANSFER AVAILABLE. US BANK DOES TRANSFERS WHICH I DIDNT KNOW. 1K DOWN 318 A MONTH. 28 MONTHS OR SO LEFT ON THE LEASE WITH 28K MILES LEFT. WONT FIND A LEASE BETTER THAN THIS.
