Too many variables ie. 2/4 door, front/rear, daily driver/off road, 3.8/3.6, height, adjustable arms etc etc .. I usually say run them until they die. Just be ready if it's your daily driver.

So are you saying a 3.5 lifted DD should see none of these issues with light trails and no full extensions? Or since I lifted it there is above normal wear and tear no matter what and should expect DS, u joint and CV joint issues down the road?

You should be ok. Keep a eye on things.

I appreciate everyone's input! After reading all this and doing further research I think I am going to go with a 3" Rancho Sport lift with RS9000XL shocks. As far as the ds debate goes I was planning on getting a Rancho Exhaust pipe kit . I only plan on doing some light wheeling and don't really disconnect much. Will I have issues with the Rancho Exhaust pipe kit with my Magnaflow exhaust? I've only read good things about this Rancho lift..feel free to chime in
