Not ready to step up to a SC or turbo setup as I am more of a naturally aspirated guy. Read as much info on these as I could find and just looking for some feedback from anyone that has ran them on a 3.8l.
As we all know the 3.8 is is lacking in power and just looking to wake it up a bit. The price on the complete kit with tuner and resonator is pretty steep!!

I've had the headers installed for almost 2 years and it makes a nice difference through out the whole RPM range. I actually have better passing power on the freeway. the only thing I'm not impressed with is the raspy sound, but for the power I've gained I'm dealing with it. Also my mpg has increased slightly.

I ended up putting a set on about a month ago, and agree with you on everything.
I ended up adding a resonator a week after to deal with the rasp, made a big difference.
Now I just need to save up for the SC kit!!

Any of you feel heat build up through the floor? What about clearing skids? Did you bother wrapping the headers before install? Retune required?

No heat problem through the floor board, clearance was good on the skids but the crossover section of the y-pipe hangs lower than the trans mount/cross member.
No wrap, I got the complete setup ceramic coated and am using the high heat wire insulators. No wire issues as of now!!
I got the P0420 / P0430 trouble codes after the install but the Ripp tune cleared them up.
PO420: Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)
PO430: Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)

Not anymore heat transfer than before and right now I have my carpets out. I don't have skid plates yet but they do include spacers for the factory skid. I feel if you really wanted to you could modify the system to make it fit better but I don't have time for that right now. I might weld the system in a spot or two in the future. 2 bits of advice, get better clamps for the connections and buy some stainless steel bolts for the flange connections. Mine rusted up real good after a year. but it probably depends on where you live as well.

I'm about to do almost same exhaust swap on my 07 jeep besides using the pacesetter long tube headers. What size restrictor insert did you use in those fittings to get rid of the codes?

I put the smallest restricter in. Also I had to have extension wires for most of the o2's, I bought 1 set but found out that all of them were to short. Luckily I bought all new o2's so I just cut the wires off at the old o2's at the o2 and then cut the plugs off the new o2's and spliced the wires on so they would fit good.

You should also get some heat boots for the plug wires just to be safe.
