Looking for guidance...

Need new tires and would like to go from 31's to 33's. Can I do that in a stock '98 TJ or would I have to modify?

It's my DD and I do some camping up in the Colorado mountains. No serious climbing or mudding.

Probably going with the Duratracs this Spring.

Thanks from an older newb...

You need at least a 3" lift to clear 33's for daily driving. Some try to get away with a 2" lift, but have to run extra long bumpstops to prevent rubbing going over speedbumps, etc. 2" springs and 1" Body lift works very well too to get that 3" of clearance. 4" lift is best if you disconnect the swaybar links to allow your front axle to do its offroad articulation magic.
