I'm sorry about my stupid radiator question but im a rookie.. i have another one. I have a 4.2 6 cyl 1987 YJ with Dana 35 axles. it has a homemade lift kit on it. I am wanting to get 33 12.50 Mud dawg's i know they will fit but will this bog down my engine, take away power, or anything else like that?
Thank you in advance.

do you know what gears you have? i don't know what gears came with the 4.2. if you have 3.73's then i think you'll be ok. but since you have a dana 35 just go easy on the gas pedal (i.e. just don't do anything stupid like dump the clutch or bounce on an obstacle off road.)

Id go to the jeep stealership with ur vin and they can print up a birth cert. that tells u everthing about the jeep, including axle ratios. I had to do this cause my 90 had 4 dif. options and when i counted axle revs : trire revs i got 4:10 but the stealership said that I have 3:73. The autos came with only 1 option, dont remember what it was though. 4:10 i think.

My 87 YJ with an auto has 3:06 gears. You will be able to drive it with 33's, but you will definately notice a power loss. Ideally you will want 4:10' with the 33's.
