Ok, RE Standard 3.5" lift is in progress....front is pretty much finished, back will hopefully be finished this weekend. I was planning on getting the 285/75r16 Firestone Destination MT's (32.8"). I really want 35" tires but because I went with the RE 3.5" lift, trying to keep cost down, and because I didn't want to cut my gas mileage in half, I decided on the 33" tires. I am sticking with my stock Rubi wheels. My question is should I go with an additional 1" BL and go with the 35's or should I stick with the 33's? I go offroad very little, so I am going mainly for looks, trying not to kill gas mileage and power. Any suggestions for the best option for me? Thanks.

We put 33" tires on our Rubi, and I think it looks pretty good. If you go with the 35" tires, you will probably want to regear, as I already noticed a little differnce with the 33's. Staying on the street will allow you to go to 35" tires, but I would think your power, and preformance would suffer, with the stock gearing. It's up to you, and how much your willing to pay for gas.

just my opinion but i'd do a 1" BL and 35's. you will have enough clearance for it and you already have the axles for it and your gears are pretty decent. your gonna wanna go bigger soon. if it wasn't a rubicon then i'd say go 33's for sure but its a rubi so i say 35's...just my vote...blu is right though

33's. 35's may require differential mods and such in the very near future. If you don't offroad, go with the 33's. 35's would be a waste of money.

One thing to keep in mind is if you got to 35's, you may want to consider chromolly axles front and rear as the Rubi stock axles and u-joints don't have a history of holding up well to tires that large.

as much as i love the look of wranglers with 35s... i'd get the 33s like every 1 said above.. 35s will require additional mods on the axles, gears, and higher suspension than the 33s. I rather have more agility than a boat feel.

That too. If you don't plan to do a lot of mud, go with 33x10.5's. The narrower stance can make technical trails a little easier to get through, at least that's what I've heard. Only a few brands carry them though. Nothing wrong with the 33x12.5's though.

OK....33's it is.......and again thanks for your opinions. Lift should be done this weekend, tires Monday morning, pics monday afternoon.

well i guess i go against the grain...but i stick with what i said...unless, you don't go offroad...otherwise your axles are decently suited for 35's and 4.10's can't be that bad. 1BLKJP is runnin 3.73's with 35's...of course he lives in flat land...so if your land is flat and u don't do a ton of rockcrawling then i think your 35's would be fine with your axles for a good while.
