Just wanted to do a quick write up on my 4.0L throttle body on the 2.5L engine conversion. I have a 1995 rio grande. I went to the junk yard and picked up a 4.0L throttle body off a 95 jeep cherokee and it was in surprisingly good shape. Most 4.0L TB will work, I avoided getting 97+ So I didn't have to plug the map sensor. Here is the difference in the throttle body's image-601289357.jpg View attachment 1146370 You have to also remove your IAC housing from your 2.5 TB. They have tamper proof torx screws attached. image-3202579404.jpg If you don't have the tools like me, I just grounded the center out with a drill and popped it out with a flathead. Just make sure not to damage the torx head.

Here's the difference in the 2.5 and 4.0 IAC housings image-3826243549.jpg image-1356846719.jpg After you get the housing, IAC, and TPS installed, you can install it on your intake manifold now. And that's pretty much it

To be honest I'm not sure yet lol, I started it up and backed it out of the garage earlier to make sure the idle was fine. I'll update tomorrow after I drive it. Btw it is all stock except for the TB

I think the intake hole is just about the same size as the bottom of the 4.0 TB. I've seem threads where people had their 4.0 TB bored to 62mm and then they cut the intake opening as well to 62mm.
