yesterday i posted that i have 4 low but no 4 high.
this is not the case, i have no 4 wheel drive.
i will order the posi lock as i believe the vacuume system is not locking the front axle.

i do feel the transfer case shift into 4 low, but 4 high is just like being in neutral.

could this still be the vacume actuator or is something wrong inside my t case with 4 high?

Before I installed my posi lock, it would still drive in 4 high, but I only had 2wd. You may need posi lock to bypass vacuum problems, but if 4 high is like nuetral, you may have other issues as well.

thanks for the information.
would you or anyone else be able to answer some additional questions.

i have a blow up of the transfer case and i was trying to see what might not be engaging for 4 hi.
everything seems to be moving on one common shaft, so
if i pull the t case from 2 hi into 4 low i must be passing through 4 hi
i dont believe any thing is pinned or keyed, so could i have torn all the splines off of the hi gear end of a shaft?
is the mode fork for 4 hi and the range fork for 4 low?
the range lever is the only external shift mechanism?
could this be out of adjustment?
