So the family and I went shopping yesterday afternoon. Radio (430N)played fine on the way to the store. Came out and it was turned off when I started the Jeep. Weird. Turned it on and it came on to AM, not Sirius. Switched it to Satellite and it was on the Preview Channel, plus it did not save my channel presets. The other weird thing is that it DID save the presets on FM.

Anyone else have this happen to them?

Jeep is a 2017 Recon Unlimited. I'm "pretty sure" the radio has shut itself off once or twice before, but this is the first time it went to this length.

Weird haven't had any of those issues on our 430N radio. Might want to call your dealer and let them know maybe it's a faulty radio or something? Sorry I can't help more I'm not as tech savvy as the rest of the forum! That Recon looks pretty though if I do say so! :D

Sounds like issues. Mine did this every once and a while and after about a year I lost my GPS (maps locked). It was replaced about a month ago but my new one also has issues...

Unfortunately, these are known issues and anomalies with the 430 series radios. If it's a continued annoyance, you are covered under warranty and if you can document the issue you can have your dealer replace the head unit.

Otherwise, you might consider going aftermarket.

Hi LuvmyXJ,

Sorry to hear about this! If you decide to visit your local dealership for further diagnosis I'd be happy to offer assistance if needed. Just PM our page with your VIN and let me know.

my 2016 we bought new in august 2016 came with the 130s. I bought a used 430n from a member who bought his 2016 jeep new a few months before me. I have had it lose it settings multiple times. being that the radio did not come with my jeep, I'm sol and have to just reset the stuff. live and learn. if we keep it at lease end, I will sell the 430n and install an aftermarket nav unit. if go into a new lease, I will get 130s again and just go aftermarket nav.
