New to the forum, and didn't see this one in the archives anywhere.

Went out the other day- ran into some mud off and on. On the way back, shifted out of fwd, but during the highway trip home, the fwd indicator light on the dash came on and went off a few times, then stayed off. Didn't seem to be engaged tho. Just an adjustment glitch for an indicator switch? fwd shifts in and out fine on the stick...thanks

Sometimes that collar that locks the axles together will stick and will take a while to slide completely over. Does the front end bind up like its in 4wd when you turn the wheel sharp?

Didn't appear to bind, but then again I didn't turn sharp enough to seriously check it. It just winked on a few times during the few road miles home, then stayed off. I'll de-mud it today and poke around a little. Seems a vacuum leak wouldn't be intermittent like that.

Thanks for the welcome. Lots of info here, long as I pay attention.
