I'm currently looking at the Raxiom light bar and brackets for my 2017 JKU, but are there any good options other than Raxiom? This will be mainly for aesthetics and light use, so I don't need the best option out there.

I'm not opposed to a cheaper chinese made light as well. Are there any solid options out there?

Thanks in advance.

Lifetime LED, as the name says they have a lifetime warranty. At $570 not cheap, but I have both the single and double row versions on our Jeeps. I had condensation in one, took a pic, made a call and got the new one withing a week. That is covered for life.

Package deals are the only way to go to make sure you have a matching set. I had the double row to start with and switched to a single row and it is shorter than the bracket. I came up with some spacers and all is good.

I looked into this one last week and will keep it in mind, but I am leaning towards something at a lower price point. I'm not going to use it enough to justify paying $600 for the full kit.

I've noticed a lot of the cheaper lights are 52 inch rather than 50 inch, but I can't find a 52 inch bracket set online. Is there a way to make a 50 inch bracket set work with the 52 inch bar?
Not really. People usually end up bowing the brackets out or cracking the welds. We can source you a 52" LED bar bracket if you need.

This has to be a miss print at $81 shipped with brackets and harness.
For $81, I ordered these and even if crap can use on other projects.

Here are my impressions of this $81 wonder.

Comes in one box, not a lot of padding but worked as no damage.

It is complete, except there are no instructions at all.

Went on YouTube and their video is worthless and viewed some others still doesn't show routing of wires.

Easy to figure out if you look at Jeep except for the wires coming out of the bottom of the mount on right hand side. Winged it.

The unit and all mounts/hardware look excellent.

The windshield mounts have an unusual matte pattern on them and thought that might be a problem, but not a concern.

There were a lot of comments about the mounts not lining up on the bolt holes on the windshield and I had a little problem with them as well on the left side.

The problem was the gasket that you put on the mount was preventing the mount to line up. So, with a little meat and a small screwdriver, it all came together nicely.

So, grabbed the LED and put it on the right side and went to hook up the bolt on the left side and it is 1.5" to short. WTF!

Tried to push in on the mounts to see if they will bend, nope.

But I did notice they flexed about an inch on each side.......

I mounted the right side with the long bolt supplied and then pushed and pulled the light to the mount and connected the short bolt. You have to use the short bolts as the long ones are to long to fit in the LED housing.

Then did the right side and it all came together easily.

Ran the wiring under the hood and wiper cowl and across the bottom of the mount and into the mount on the middle bottom.

Wiggled and loosened bolts to get it up in there and connected, soldered the wires.

Hooked the wire harness to battery, watch the little nuts as I lost one to the Jeep God.......

The light bar comes on when the switch is pushed...... Amazing.

This is really bright.

Still thinking about the wiring and what to do, but the unit looks good.

I have to tell you all, for $81 this is an fantastic buy and thinking of getting another one as a backup or for the ATV.

Just my 3 cents, inflation you know.

Just go on eBay. U can get one with decent amount of Lumins for $70-80 bucks for a 52" light bar. I've had my present eBay bought light bar for 5 years. Still works great but seals are failing and starting to get some condensation inside. But I definitely got my money's worth.

If you want something unique, we offer the J5 Lightbar:

We offer just the J5 lightbar here:
https://www.quadratec.com/p/quadratec/j5-led-light-bar-amber-clearance-cab-lights

Or we offer the lightbar, A-pillar mounts, wiring harness combos here:
https://www.quadratec.com/search/j5

I have this lightbar on my Wrangler and I love it! The amber at night lights road signs - a big benefit IMO. It also provides a warm glow on my hood which I enjoy. The white LED's are crazy bright! My co-workers have to shield their eyes in our parking lot in midday sun when I turn it on. That's bright!

We also offer a forum discount! For a discounted quote you can go about it 3 ways:

1) PM me with your first & last name, address, zip and the part numbers you would like to order. I'll reply back with a discounted quote if applicable. This takes 1-2 business days (or less) on average depending on PM volume.

2) E-mail my sales rep Rob at: [email protected] Tell him you're a Forum user and would like a discounted quote. He'll get that going for you. He typically responds within hours if it's Mon-Fri 8am-5pm Eastern.

3) Call my sales line at 1-800-745-2348. Tell them you're a Forum user and would like to place an order with your Forum discount. Their hours are Mon-Thurs 8am-Midnight, Friday 8am-9pm, Saturday 9am-5pm.

Whichever you prefer works for us.

Thanks & have a great night!

Happen to know if these are legal to have uncovered in VA?

Also, when would you expect the covers for this bar? I would like to see optional hole covers for Amber lights! Thanks.

Honestly not sure about VA laws. Lightbar laws vary state by state.

The cover is in the works - but no ETA on that at the moment. I'll post here and in a new thread when it's available for pre-order.

Thanks!

You're welcome! The signal for the amber is supplied by a single wire run to the parking light circuit. If you prefer to wire it to a switched circuit, that should not be a problem. I believe several customers have run these with sPODs and similar units.

Thanks!

I'm looking for a 50"/52" LED light bar and bracket combo like the $81 above but cant seem to find them for a YJ. Looks like i can get RC bracket for about $70 + the light bar of my choice.
Will the TJ bar and light combo work on the YJ?
