I was wondering the same about swapping a newer Mustang rear over. 05-up.

I think I'd rather have the rear a little wider than narrower like the Explorer rear

This was my thought too. Although my 8.8 is already about 70% done so it'll be spacers for me.

Oh, I'm not knocking it at all. I am riding on spacers right now with my 30/35 setup. Lol.
