Howdy recently got this CJ Originally had the 2.5L, PO swapped in a 4.2L. Starter grinds crazy. I know 4.2L starter is different than 2.5L . It bolts to the bell housing not the block. Both have T5 5 spds trannys. Flywheel part# is same for both as well. I did notice, the starter bolts are 3/8-16. He had put some brass bushings in there, one in the starter and one in the bell housing. Is this normal? The starter is a Napa brand w/ lifetime. So I go one coming. The bushing were too long, so I ground them down. And the lower bell housing threads were stripped, fixed that, But still grinding. Oops, its an '82 not '83

Any ideas? Thank you in advance.
