Anyone ever have an issue with when after making a sharp right turn, there is popping and grinding in transmission/tranfer case (can't pinpoint). Then when I make sharp left turn it goes away. Maybe front vacuum actuator half engaged? Currently 4x4 not working either.

I am guessing that one of your front drive axle u-joints is bad and when you turn right it jams such that it can not rotate without a lot of torque, causing the transfer case to be very unhappy. When you turn the other direction the u-joint falls back into alignment such that everything is fine until you turn again.

That makes sense. I'm going to remove the front drive shaft just so I can narrow it down to just front end related and not an internal transmission or transfer case problem. But that sounds logical. Thanks!!
