So on my 97 TJ 2.5 I went to hook up the kick down cable to the throttle body linkage. My linkage does not have the little stud on it to hook the kick down cable to. What to do? Not sure if it was never there or if it broke off but I need to find one.. I just converted this TJ to a automatic from a manual.

I wish I could help but my '97 throttle linkage already had the little ball on it needed to connect the kickdown cable when I converted it to a 32RH. It seems I've seen balls like is used there with a stud on the end for mounting purposes in better equipped hardware stores.

Found this. Think it might work? Not sure if the threaded part is to big for the hole. From what I read it is for 1/4" hole. Will have to check when the weather is better.

Maybe but if my memory is correct it's a ball stud. Something like this...

I'll try to remember tomorrow to see if the Mopar parts guide shows it as a separate part.

The bad news is, as you can see below, there's no separate p/n for the button the kickdown cable snaps over. The good news is that, according to the drawing in the Mopar guide I have, that flat button you found is the right type, it's not a round ball as I recalled. Now you just have to find one with the right diameter.
