I cant get the defroster to come on. I took some of the dash apart to find that the top lever is broken. Where is the best place to get the parts and the best way to fix it??? New to jeeps!

I had a problem and found a thread on here that helped me fix it completely. Mine wasnt the switch, I had an air line disconnected in a place I never would have looked. Look on ebay for the switches, I know I saw them on there for a lot cheaper than the dealership.

i have bought 3 off of ebay everyone of them wrong. they all say different numbers, all exactly the same!! dont buy them!!! i buy lots of other stuff on ebay that is correct but not those, and at 20 a pop it adds up quick! i just going to take one of the wrong ones and modify it to always be on defrost and then adjust the vent and floor dont really see anyother way to do it......

I got mine from Tellico 4x4 Omix Ada was the manufacturer,Dealer no longer sells levers seperately.

Two of the levers were broken on mine. After doing a search on the forum I saw where some had repaired them using a self tapping screws. It is what I used to repair mine, so far so good.

rockauto.com is where i got mine. but the star pattern seems to be backwards on it. Possibly an error in the manufacture.

I used a angle drill and drilled a screw into the broken off piece and then yanked it out. It wasn't easy but it worked.

I found both types on Amazon. Once I pulled the broken one out, with a drywall screw, I matched up to the image on Amazon. There is a difference, but you should be able to see the difference.
It's great having it work again after years of not working. Easily worth $15.

So I found out my problem any possibly some others. My defrost lever was broke and I ordered one off of rockauto.com. If you look at the lever for the defrost it's the upper lever so that's the one I ordered. Well that's not the case. It guys by the actuator. So even though its the upper lever, the actuator for it is the lower actuator. So I returned the upper lever and the lower lever is on the way to hopefully solve my problems.
