My wifes TJ has been acting up, I'm pretty sure its the trans...
I had to short stop because someone tried to pull in front of me, when I went to accelerate again (the person decided it was a good idea to actually stop at the stop sign instead of blowing it and getting tboned by me) the truck studdered. Almost like the trans slipped a tad.
Last night I went to back up our driveway, ithas a decent slope to it. As soon as the back tires started up the hill, the truck started shuddering and shaking. I immediately took my foot off the gas and put it in neutral. This stopped the shuddering.
Any one know what could possibly be happening? Low trans fluid? Bad torque converter?
The trans was rebuilt not THAT long ago, figure just long enough to probably not be under warranty any longer.
I would take it back to that shop and make them fix it, however we are now in WI and the shop is in KS.
