Ok; well the past week I've done a few minor things to the Jeep.
I was getting tired of freezing my butt off in the chilly 80*F mornings so I decided to add a heater. It's a Flexalite Mojave (And the J is not silent, it sound cooler :flipoff: ) unit, 12000 BTUs and I think 170something CFMs. Not the most powerfull, but PLENTY for my little Jeep. A welcome change to the usual ski-jacket and pants scenario.
Installation in general was easy - but the spot I picked to put it made routing the hoses tricky as they required making some sharp turns which would kink them. A few stops at Home Depot and Lowe's later and I came up with some elbow fittings and adapters that did the trick. It blows LOTS of hot air, nice and relaxing on those chilly days and frosty nights here (about 1 or 2 months out of the year)
Next up!
I finally got a new laptop a few weeks ago; so I decided to upgrade my navigational abilities a bit. I loaded my old laptop with the most detailed topographical maps you can get of the entire state, and loaded several GPS management programs and radio repeater atlas programs on as well. I've also loaded it with packet radio sound card software, meaning I now have the ability for digital computerized radio modes such as standard emailing (from the middle of NOWHERE) and position beacon broadcasting. Makes finding my spot and new trails a real piece of cake. I cut up and old laptop bag so that to charge it the only thing I need to do is pull out the power cord and plug it in - it fits perfectly behind the seats and is easily transported anywhere. I also made room for my handheld 2m ham radio, my GPS (which is dash mounted when I'm using it), and all my atlas and trail guide books. Everything I need for navigation in one small package:

Moved my radios around (Icom IC-2100H 55w 2m VHF transceiver, and Cobra 18WX-STII), nothing major; but I like the spot. Out of easy sight, stable mount, and easily controllable. Yes I know I need to clean my floor and firewall
I've also fabbed up a 'rough draft' wire terminal cover to cover the stock interior wiring distribution block (a friggin jungle of a mess); going from this:

Looks MUCH cleaner!
