ok so it is a 2007 jk unlimited with a adj. track bar, 2 inch lift and 33's. today I noticed it shaking a touch funny when going down the road. I looked at the track bar and the lock nut had come loose and wasn't holding anything. im gonna take the bar out and double check things.. what length should the track bar be set at and locked down?

There's no set length.
Why did you opt for a adjustable anyways ? 2" lift typically doesn't need correction.

Anyways .... On flat ground. Remove the TB. Shake jeep around. The body should center itself over the axle. Bolt back up and measure.

You want to pick a point on each tire and measure to a common point on the frame. A good spot for me was the spring perch.
I don't have the numbers...

First, I'm sorry, but I don't have the numbers:nonono: That being said, all is not lost:D Unless things went terribly wrong (more than just losing the bolt/nut) and your track bar has changed drastically in adjustment, you SHOULD be close to the correct setting already. Once you've reinstalled the adjustable trackbar, it's time to take some measurements. Pick the same point on each side of your vehicle and the same spot on each of your front tires/wheels to see if your vehicle is sitting "square" over your wheels. If it's out to one side or the other, make the appropriate adjustment and re measure. Once you're square, lock it down:thumb:

Edit- If you have to adjust the trackbar to square your vehicle, MAKE SURE THAT YOUR STEERING WHEEL IS LINED PROPERLY!!! (Ask me how I know!) This is a simple thing to adjust and Youtube has good videos to help show you how.
