Hey everyone,
With the weather in mid 60s this weekend I was hoping to take my new wife and two younger kids (6yrs & 4yrs) out on some trails in our new unlimited. I have never driven off-road and with having the kids with me I am looking for something fun, but not too crazy. Does anyone have a suggestion on where to go or a favorite place to go?

Sorry about that. It would help if I told everyone that I live in the northern Virginia area around Leesburg.

Hey there. A buddy of mine and I did Peter's Mill 1.5 months ago. Nothing too strenuous, but some of the rocks make you hope you don't have to break out the spare. But we both took our new JKUs out there - mine stock sahara, his stock Rubi - and we had fun. Enough to get it dirty and nothing too big. Tasker's gap is right around the corner, and I believe it's shorter.

This link has most everything you need, even though this just talks about ATV/motorcycle riding, but it's got the directions, etc. Just make certain you stop at one of the gas stations to purchase the $5 pass.

btw - left the kids off the trail the first time, but would have no problem taking them back with us!

Yup, Peter's Mill is a great trail to get started on! Not too strenuous, and a great intro for the wife and kids before you do the bigger stuff... Watch out for ATVs/bikes though!

Hello Fellow Leesburg Jeeper. Hope to have mine out of the factory and on trails nearby in a week or two. Please tell me what you find in the way of close by trails.

Still waiting. Peters Mill run is the first drive after I get it. Maybe next weekend?
