Hello!

I recently purchased a 03 rubicon. I believe it has a 6'' Rubicon express lift with Fox shocks on it. However the shocks look long overdue for a rebuild or replacement.

My question is:

Rebuild my current shocks (Sending them back to fox for a rebuild. $125 ea.
[FOX 2.0 X 8.0 PERFORMANCE SERIES SMOOTH BODY RESERVOIR SHOCK]

or

Buy new 5100 series bilstien shocks.

My jeep is mainly for off-road use. So Im more interested in off-road performance of the shock then how it rides, as it is only driven on the road to the spot to play. I can supply more info at request if needed.

I would cycle your axles full droop and stuffed, measure, bumpstop, and buy shocks based on your measurements. The bilstein 5100s are a good choice though.

How long have the Fox shocks been on the Jeep ? I've had mine for about 6 years and they are going strong. And I wheel the crap out of my Jeep. I would also advise on measuring to make sure you have the correct length shock but then I'd have the Foxes rebuilt because mine have been worry free. I consider Fox a better shock them Bilsteins.
