Hey all,
I have a 2014 JKUR without the automatic climate control. My air conditioning compressor stays on all of the time regardless of the vent position (towards feet, vent, or both) and the A/C light is on or off. I understand that the compressor is supposed to come on in the defrost position. Is this common? Is it just the way the computer is programmed? Anyone else have this problem?

I had the question when I first got mine. A lot of newer cars do that to keep the humidity level low inside the cabin. The problem with the Jeep is that you can really notice the compressor kick in. I wish there was a way to turn it off, but you can't with the auto climate if you leave it auto. Well, actually you can unplug the compressor if you really wanted to, but I've gotten used to it.
