I'm prepping the rims on my Jeep for paint and have begun sanding. After the first rim I thought I'd give aircraft remover a shot. I let the stupid stuff dry out, though, and it's filmed up on the rims. Sanding works to remove some of the residue but the job is 10x worse than had I just sanded to begin with. ugh. Is there any way to remove the aircraft remover residue? I tried recoating to see if it could bubble itself with no luck. If all else fails I could pay a shop to sand blast them but I was trying to avoid the cost and do it myself. So much for saving time...
