Just finished installing today
45X4 reciever cde-102
45X4 power pack amp
5 1/4 speakers for the dash alpine sps 500's
6 1/2 for the sound bar alpine sps 600's

Sounds very loud, the bass is great for the speakers im not looking to get a subwoofer.
I had to drill new holes to fit the 6 1/2 inch speakers.

Just gotta tweak everything cause the dash in the jeep shakes and the sound bar has some rumbles even though i put the speakers nice and tight.

Nice install!
I just got done installing a new system too, and I'm also trying to find all the rattles.

Yeah, buddy!!

Looking good and most likely sounding good also!!
Gotta have those tunes.

Put all new sound system in my Jeep this past summer including XM radio. No rattles for me and no need for a sub either.

How did you get your aftermarket stereo to sit flush with the dash mine sticks out? Did you not use the metal bars or something?

It had an aftermarket stereo before i installed this one, so i got lucky cause the previous owner must of bought some type of kit to install stereo's so i just reused it, it was like a little frame to hold the head unit in place nicely.

Fixed the rumbles by tightening all the screws in the dash,
but for the soundbar i realized the interior light was what was shaking and causing noise.

So i took it out while listening to music and realized that the second i pulled it out the sound bar speakers sounded louder with even more bass (like the type for hip hop songs).
This was because the soundbar now was vented and air was traveling through the hole where the interior light was.
So i put a hole in the bracket for the light and the cover hole is about 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches.
Now i reinstalled the light tightly and air travels through giving it great sound :]
this trick probably even works with the stock speakers,
it's not the greatest looking mod but it's definitely worth it cause of the sound. :D
And i put edge molding on the cuts to clean it up, same thing i put on my fenders after i trimmed them

It's not a normal amp, it's called a power pack and it only works with alpine head units because it plugs right into the back of the head unit with no extra work, i mounted it in the dash.

Dude, this is pretty clever. I wonder if you could run this same route and offset the "port" so that the light is still covered. Great idea--I will be investigating this option as I have Pioneer Elites in my soundbar...

Man,
May have to consider that mod, or some other alternative, on the interior light too.

Anything that improves the sound for free, has to be awesome.

Thanks

how did you fit the 5.25 in the dash? i've heard of this but would love to figure it out.
Normally you would buy a bracket to fit the 5 1/4 but i just drilled holes in the existing brackets and they went right in, ill take a picture later if you're interested.

TJTHEo I just installed the same head unit. Did u install the mic for the bluetooth? I ran my mic thru the dash under the plastic panels that are beside my windshield and into my roll bar padding, and it comes out right where the cross car meets the side roll bar. Its nice to have hands free
