I'm running Aluminium Genright and have winched numerous times. The Genright bumpers actually have a steel winch tray that mounts between the frame rails. So the aluminum isn't actually supporting the winch. Hope that helps answer your question.

I second that ^^ I ran GenRight aluminum on my last JK and the aluminum is just the skin. The tray is steel. Still only about 25-30lbs. WAY lighter than the 105lb junk I took off.

Rock Hard was my choice and I've been hard on them both with no issues.

I have Savvy aluminum - like GenRight, the winch tray is steel. Just the bumper skin is aluminum.

We run the GenRight Aluminum as well. No issues as stated. Nice picking up a bumper with 1 hand!

If we can help get you setup with the GR Aluminum bumpers, please let us know! Feel free to PM, email, or call at anytime!

x2 for Rock Hard aluminum bumpers. Their front bumpers, including the aluminum ones, also accommodate brackets for towing.
