Just got my first Jeep, a 2011 JKU Rubicon a month ago & the wife has already asked about step sides for her & our 7 & 3 year old kids to get in easier. Since I also plan to add a suspension (maybe 2.5") lift & tires (thinking 35's) soon, it would seem to be an important mod. Searching the forum has provided a lot of suggestions, but it would seem that the Rock Sliders are very popular, and I must admit, they look awesome! Just want to confirm that they will mount easy (read UHB's recent thread), not be too slippery getting in (may have to add some adhesive tape?), no conflict with the stock rock rails (guess that's what their called?) and the upward angle is very slight. Already seen several pics of these on the forum, but any new ones (especially JKU Rubi's) would be appreciated. Thanks in advance from a newbie in GA! :)

I'm looking for side steps as well. I hear that the ones your speaking of are very heavy and a waste of weight if you don't plan on doing any off roading. I need to keep my jeep light to commute. But thats just me.

Off road use is a pretty importent consideration. I just installed the ace rails on my 2door rubi, and they kick ass, but aren't light. They don't angle up harshly, and the powder coat gives a nice textured finish. Last but not least, you can't beat the price.

They have a lifetime warranty.
