I've read various posts about the squeaky seat issues and don't know which direction to go. My dealer can't get mine in until late next month as they are booked until then. My LJ had the same issue as I am having now. I get in the drivers seat and whenever I move I hear a screatch here and there until I get out of the vehicle. I have a 2017 Big Bear JK with less than 3k on the odometer. When I raise the seat it's better but not gone completely. Any remedies?

Hey number1olddog,

If you want us to look for other Jeep dealerships in your area who may be able to get you in sooner, let us know. We can definitely see what other appointments are available.

I also have a 2017 Big Bear and my front passenger seat creaks when someone is in it. It drives me crazy.

This is the first post I've seen about it. Thought it was just mine.

Anyone know what the dealer normally does to fix it?

I had a noise. Thought it was seat...then guard over gas tank until I found out what was causing mine. The center console. Top could move just enough to squeak over bumps or when I got into my jeep

My passenger seat makes noise constantly with or without some in it, was going to go to dealer soon as it's driving me nuts!

My 2017 Rubicon has a very noticeable clunk under the passenger seat when there is a person in the seat and making a left hand turn. It will not make the clunk on two consecutive left hand turns unless a right hand turn is made although no clunk is heard when making the right hand turns. Dealer looked at it briefly when I stopped by one day and did not find anything. I have been living with it until the first service when I plan to bring it up again.

My 2017 driver seat has a clunk and it's obnoxious.
It happens either when I drop my weight onto the seat (160#) and/or as my weight shifts in turns while driving. It also my happen more than once per trip and it doesn't clunk back when I take my weight off the seat

My passenger does it also.
Only when someone is in it and I turn or hit a bump.
It's definitely metal on metal noise.
Haven't had it looked at yet.
It drives me and who ever is in the seat nuts.
I been meaning to remove the seat and see if I can fix it but haven't yet.
The dealer where I bought it is an hour away.
There's one closer but I always hear take it to where you bought it for the best service.
Not sure how true that is I have never really had a car in for warranty work.

Hi skullfreak,

You're always welcome to use any Jeep dealership for your warranty work! Sometimes it's easier for you when the entire service history is at one dealership, but ultimately you can use any dealership!
