the plastic shield pops off and there are 3 screws that mount it to the fender, take those out and you can access the cable.....you do NOT have to take the fender off to do this, ask me how I know....smh

Thanks I am trying to use my CB antenna as my AM/FM antenna as well.. Didn't you do this? I think I got the idea from you.. How do you pop the cover off of the antenna mount without scratching the paint?

I did do this, I just used a small flathead screwdriver with a rag behind it.
Thanks man.. I'll give that a try.. Another questions.. Or the cable from the inverter to the radio head unit how did you connect that? Did you have to splice the wires together to make that work? That provided am/fm wire will not hook up to the back of the head unit?

I used the inverter from Firestik at first and swapped it out for one from FTL (a vendor here) I had to go to an audio shop to get the antenna cable to plug into the back of the radio. Heres some links including where I did a review (3rd link)

Do you happen to remember what the cable part number was?

Another questions for ya. When I watched a couple videos it says there are two wires for the antenna.. The link you posted is only for one connection.. Will I not need to hook both of them back up? Thanks.. Just trying to do this right the first time
There are 2, one is for the Sirius/XM antenna, the other is for the AM/FM antenna. I end up buying the adaptor pack that has 2 in it and only used 1, the other wont work/be needed whis is why I linked the single one for you.
