I just got a satellite radio for xmas and was curious where most people located their satellite antenna. The locations that are suggested just aren't applicable on a Wrangler that utilizes a hard top and a soft top.

I have Sirius. I've had the antena everywhere: on dash, the roll cage, even out on the engine hood and cowl. I've settled for on my top of the roll bar. I have a full cage and it sits on the A Pillar (forward/center).

I still had poor reception at times, so I searched for other tips on line. My latest attempt to enhance reception that seems to be working a bit is a small alluminum pie plate - like from those individual frozen chicken pot pies. I put the antena in the dish which "supposedly" acts ilke a satellite dish collector.

The factory puts them on the roll bar.
