having a two door the area behind the drivers seat is largely worthless since you can't get the front seat to go forward far enough for anyone one to enter from that side. was thinking about somehow making some kind of bracket and bolt under the seat and come out at an angle and possibly mount a 11HS8 kicker or similar behind it. just brainstorming since I don't have room under the passenger seat. was wandering if anyone thought of this or tried it??

2 door owner here also. I went down that road and failed. If you're super ambitious you could fab a fiberglass enclosure to go under the seat but you're pretty much restricted to 10" shallow subs. I ended up saying screw it and just put a 10" in a box in back that can easily be removed if I need extra space.

There are 8" powered subs that you can mount under your seat. But they're a compromise and 8s just don't play very deep.

I just finished my install of a Kenwood KSC-SW11 under my driver seat in my 2 door JK. Tight fit but it definitely fits. Ran all the wires along the driver door sill and grounded to the two grounding points I saw there.

Just had to slightly bend a wire support bracket out of the way. Tilt seat forward, slide in the sub and put the seat back. That was the easy part. The wiring is easy too. The entire install took me about 4 hours.

Can't even see it unless you open the tailgate and look under the seat.

More than enough bass for me. I'm actually quite impressed with this little thing.

I also put an amplified sub under my drivers seat in our two door. Wont knock the windows out but fills in the Bass very well and am more than happy with it.
