I bought a set of 6.5" Rugged Ridge flares from Quadratec. I was a little concerned about the quality because of the price. I have Bushwhacker flares on my F-150 and they look and have held up just fine, but they are $500.00. The Rugged Ridge flares are $300.00. I am happy with the quality of the RR flares but the instructions suck. The hardware that comes with the kit is insufficient to do a quality install. I followed the instructions for fitting and drilling and discovered that some of the newly drilled holes are in areas where there is no access to put a nut on the back. I got a package of 5mm Nutserts at an automotive hardware supply store (you need a specialized Nutsert install tool) and that cured the problem. The instructions state to not overtighten the bolts. I plan to put a spec of silicone on each one to prevent them from loosening and falling out. I could use lock-tite but I think the silicone will do the job and will be easier to remove if necessary. I'll post pics once the flares are on, after jeep is back from paint shop.
