I have notice my tranny has started to slip every once in a while. Dip stick says it is a little low on oil so i will add some more tomorrow. Hopefully it will fix it. If it doesn't what are my other options?
Might be time to adjust the bands. I just did mine tonight it made a world of a difference. Drop the tranny pan let the old fluid drain out. Put in a new filter. Adjust the rear band to specified torque. I found mine in a haynes repair manual it was 72 inch pounds. this is on a 95 2.5 3 speed auto though. Then put the pan back in with a new gasket. Fill it up properly. Adjust the TV cable and front band which is on the outside of the trans on the left side. And it should feel like brand new.
